Excuse me,who won and by how much.! You can't get closer than being at the track, and as i said he was never in a position to pass, that's what you call hurry up,not watching Murph disapear.

Exactly. He did well for just flying in the night before without practise, but in R3 henever threatened Murph, and as you said was in danger of losing to J Mc.

Were you at the track.!

if he was as good as you say, people would be lining up to put him in a decent car, theres a reason he has no drive this season
newtec1,
Feb 19, 6:02pm
You don't win 4 Bathursts if you are a bum driver.Even last year in a lemon he made it into the top 10 towards the sharp end of the race before the car gave up.There are more reasons than being a good driver to consider before you get the package right.Form comes and goes but the cream will always rise to the top.
savanna71,

But the season doesn't consist of 20 Bathursts. The cream may rise but the waste gets tipped out

We will just have to wait and see won't we.

Dead right, It always amazes me regarding the preoccupation with Bathurst wins, it's just one endurance race. How many championships has Murphy won!

It constantly amuses me how these couch racers constantly put down race drivers .To my way of thinking anybody who can peddlea big V8 aroundBathurst, or any circuit, competitively is several steps above your average"thinks he can drive" couch racer.

Just looked at TV Guide for the week 2.03.13 - 8.03.13 and V8 Supercars are not listed on CRC Motorsport. Is TV3 not showing them this year!

Im yet to see a race car at bathhurst, the cars are governed, street sleepers weigh in at 2 ton with light truck brakes, red & blue bits, then add racing fuel. A Formula 1 type car or Ford are the go.

Supercars are made from scratch, not mass produced. Handbuilt!

On that basis, Stirling Moss is/was rubbish then!Ditto Chris Amon! There have been many drivers in history who never managed to win a specific championship, or in Amon's case, a single F1 GP.It doesn't lessen their ability or status in my humble opinion. Just about any of us on here could probably get 85% out of most cars given a bit of time.Getting 100% out of any really quick car takes a fair bit more talent than most of us possess, especially in a race situation.
