What has "Fly by wire" got to do with the type of Transmission?

robotnik, May 20, 11:21pm
The FAA approved fly by wire for commercial airplanes in 1991. It is perfectly safe and there are multiple redundancies in the aircraft's control systems.

yea like that citroen 2014 model reving 8000rpm with engine off only one redundency there the whole car .

len_f, May 22, 2:18pm
instead of an accelerator cable which runs to the throttle body there are two or more sensors they can cause problems when they malfunction

I understand the principle of the system, but what does it have to do with the type of transmission in the car?
Did Nissan change to Fly by wire when they went to CVT?

lenf.-the NAME sylphy was used first in the 2000-2005 model bluebird.
That's the rounded shape one.
Trouble is thiough that that year they had 3 engines. 1500.1800 and 2000cc
The 1500 and 1800 have either manual or standard auto tranz.
The 2000cc had CVT.
From 2006 on the Sylphy has either a 1500 or 2000cc engine . The 2000cc definitely is CVT transmission.

The late U14 was also available with the QG18DE which was a drive by wire setup.

It's kinda of a strange reason for avoiding a model anyway.
