They're fantastic cars the old 126 series but they've got to have been maintained well, preferably by someone who knows them well. You'd have to give it a damn good going over to be sure of what you are buying, that one may even have hydropneumatic suspension being an SEL. At least with those they are much simpler than the bloated, junky, plasticky and complicated 140 model that eventually replaced it. That one would now qualify for vintage insurance too.

Paid $3500 via TM a year ago for a 2001 NZ new Nissan Maxima 3.0L V6 done 125K. Done 150K now. Spent nothing on it so far. Smooth, heaps of power, comfortable, big and reliable. hard to beat in terms of value for money and unlikely to need to be pushed or towed home for a while yet. Sold my 97 Maxima done 220K to work associate and it still runs like a charm.
