You just can't beat a road trip; have a good one guys, ride safe.
(Re #7 - harden up; you can ride anything on gravel for a few K's, it's character building!).

Going to ride on main roads but should the local reading crew decide to resurface a road then you have no choice but ride on gravel.

I have a dual purpose bike and prefer to ride on gravel and back roads, not down the main drag.
