I'll try to load up a photo when I get to work on Monday but they are easy to find, 2 blue plugs sitting behind the glovebox at the bottom where the lid hinges.

$600 is a good price if they're putting a new canister on, BUT it would pay to get it confirmed that that is the fault first ($600 is good if it fixes the problem but bad if its only being fixed on a guess). As to if you should just buy a new car I can't really help with that, IMO it depends on the rest of the condition of your current car, if you've already spent a lot on it you may well have fixed an issues that will occur and you might get another 3-5yrs trouble free motoring from it. Or it could just be at the stage were its best just to stop spending money and try to sell it with a $1 reserve. What ever you decide get the ABS fault diagnosed first
