Save yourself some money in the purchase price and also get slightly better fuel economy and try the 1500cc Fielder. This car is much maligned as being gutless, but it really isn't.

Put a deposit on one. An 1800S 2007
has CVT gearbox.
What servicing should I have done after purchase ?

Has done 39000 km.

personally I would get the trans oil/filter changed and a normal engine service

Yep, I would get a Honda Euro Accord wagon, great cars, very nice to drive, as good as an Audi or Merc w/o the stupid lack of reliability & high servicing costs.

I like the Toyota :)

Only advice would be to try a few before buying. $13k you will pick something decent. Now's the time to try a few brands, even the ones you would not have thought of before- just as a comparison. If you want a station wagon, look at the Honda, Golfs, Audi's, etc etc. Like any car, if it has been serviced, there is little reason to believe you're buying a lemon. You might be pleasantly surprised what you end up with.
