The best way to repair cams is machine the base circle down and regrind the lobe, then reharden. There are some people that will build the lobe up then regrind. But I have seen the weld fall off and make a hell of a mess!

going of the picture you can just regrind that been child cast iron , if it had to be built up its best to grind the lobe down in size and weld around the hole lob , not just the worn area

I would contact these guys. http://www.kelford.co.nz/

OP, you could get the cam lobe flame sprayed, that is they heat the metal up and spray the area, with compounds that will built it up and harden it.
Welding then grinding it back to for repair , can induce cracking.
But it is all a matter of costs, vis best style of repair.
So long as the heating for flame spray is carried out correctly , I would go with this style of repair.
Have had it done on a crank shaft, and it worked very well.

That wear is consistent with a roller rocker that has shagged in the pin ,

Kelford cams built up and reground the two cams which had worn lobes from my Lancia, worked just fine.
