You are correct. After showing them the paper work I had found I was told they did not check or go through it. Compliments to the dealership though, it was handled in a professional manner and I wouldn't hesitate to go back to buy another car.

Yes it was and I suppose thats the benefit of buying a car from a dealer and not a private seller. At least you have something to fall back on if something goes wrong.

Look up the motor vehicle dealer disputes tribunal it gives you all the relevant info regarding consumer guarantees act and fair trading act to file a claim costs $50 and they can award up to $100,000 for dodgy car dealers to pay .

Im guessing you didn't bother reading the thread did you.
before going down the CGA route the dealer needs to refuse to help-In this case they gave full refund.
