Pricing some new seats for my classic with unusually small dimensions, basically only one manufacturer makes them. ~400 GBP each for the basic chair OK, not terrible. plus ~400 GBP shipping. sea freight. to the nearest port. all taxes duties and clearance to be arranged by me. daaaaamn, by the time GST on the freight and broker fees and whatever else and arranging transport from the port and . I reckon looking the sharp end of a thousand bucks for shipping and clearance alone, plus GST on the seats.
I knew it would be pricey but that's more than the price of a 1 way airfare!
I think I'll be getting some quotes for rebuilding and recovering the existing ones :-/

you could import them as safety equipment and avoid all the crap.
