Van lives outside & of course, subject to all weather conditions & the shade of the house.
Been trailing a Damprid canister overnight recently & it's working well. Stick it on the dash against the screen overnight & the screen is dry in the mornings.
Was puzzled a couple of weeks ago when hosing the morning frost off the screen & it didn't clear. Blimin frost was on the inside as well.

I think you have moisture intrusion most common is rust or wet boots evaporation

IMO its so cold that the damp of clothes etc stayed on the screen.

Yep part of the problem. To be fair, frost on the inside has only ever happened once.
For a start, it's always lived outside. Some recent pick ups (& unloading) have been done in the rain. Carpets & me, are often damp or wet these last few months of rain.
Never underestimate how cold it can get overnight in a heavy frost, parked on the shaded side of a house with high fences

Yes, no, yes & not just boots wet. Local temperatures can be nasty in this weather & time of year. Lovely & warm to hot when in the direct sun. Near freezing in the deeper shaded areas.
Seen a tractor engine block crack from constant frosts when it was parked under a big tree.

No thanks, dog smell (wet or dry) isn't my favorite, never mind the loose hair dropped & they sweat anyway

Fire up the aircon all the time while you are driving the van.

Now theres the rub, In extreme cold areas, theres not a lot of dampness left in the air & little to no humidity. It's the combination of constant hot/cold/ high humidity & rain conditions that causes a lot of condensation problems
