Toyota aussie extend warranty for the DPF to 10y

s_nz, Oct 27, 3:37pm
For 2.8-litre 1GD-FTV and 2.4-litre 2GD-FTV diesel engines. This includes Toyota HiLux, LandCruiser Prado, and Fortuner dating back to 2015.

Comes in the light of a class action law suit, and a recent independent report from an expert describing the DPF system in the above vehicles as "defective".

No Press release from Toyota NZ on their website yet. Will be interesting to see if they are proactive regarding the situation, or try to keep it quiet.

Not surprised, that was a design fault from brand new. Anyone who saw it and knew how other manufacturers achieved DPF operation thought it was some sort of a joke.
