what sort of cost am i looking at to get this done! i have a 2000 daewoo and im going to take it to midas on monday. sorry its the rear Brake Proportioning Valve. tia

What's wrong with it! They are normally a stainless ball and spring and never break

If it's a dual valve then it can get out of balance - often a reason for WOF failure.

New valve for a 2000 Corolla was priced around $500 from Toyota - second hand ones not available from wreckers at the time - had old one 'reconditioned' with new springs and seals at 'Just Brakes', Penrose for $80.

it failed a WOF because of this. i havnt got the sheet on me but it said somthing like. rear breaks Left 200 & Right 20 - fail the man said it is most likely this valve.but not 100%

Does it have drums on the rear! Most of the time they just need to be pulled off, deglazed, rotated round and adjusted back up
