About a year ago I paid $70 odd for all 3 locks plus a spare key. Cost will vary from place to place. That was for a 1993 Caldina.

Only takes an hour or so for a locksmith to repair one lock. They generally only have to replace and align the new pins. Im sure it would be safe for a couple of hours sitting on a car yard;)

thanks guys for all the advice . problem solved was passing a locksmith who had a car keys done sign. He looked at the key said it was pretty worn out suggested I could try armstrong locksmiths who would use the toyota no on the old key to make a fresh key with the original specs and it could work. Did that and problem solved still thanks for all the friendly advice. cheers
