Not top speed but I averaged over 140 km/hr for over 1 hour in the South Island, had to sit on 180 most of the way and slow down for towns. Try that in the North Island! Only bettered by an hour on the autobahn about 180 k for an hour, sitting on 220 with no towns.

most Jap imports are restricted (by factory) for the Japanese domestic market to 180 k's. The same models made in Japan for the export market are un-restricted OR limited to 225. O.K. some models won't get there, but other cars do. This 2.5 does. Other mate 2 liter won't. Yes 225 is off the clock hence the use of the gps.

Mine was 320 through the terrace tunnel in wellington in a v8 holden clubsport. when we got out the other side we heard sirens and saw red and blue lights behind us, we went off an off ramp and then the cop over took us lol
