Just had a buyer hit buy now on my 1976 Toyota Sprinter on another site and spotted immediately it was a scam, put RED FACE on him and called him a scammer like he is and the $#&%wit returns a red face on me saying I am the scammer, hopefully sella can remove him and his feedback.Beware to all those that may not be so wise, They are targeting online sellers all the time.This was the email sent after buy now used:::::::::::: I insisted on paypal because i don't have access to my bank account online as i don't have internet banking and i can't go to the bank due to the nature of my job, but i can pay from my paypal account, as i have my bank a/c attached to it, i will need you to give me your paypal email address so i can make the payments asap for the item and pls if you don't have paypal account yet, it is very easy to set up, go to www.paypal.com and get it set up , after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address you use for registration with paypal so as to put the money through

Yesterday we got a txt re our Ford Territory Auction asking about the interior condition and to email them onwalkingdall@gmail.com . We replied because we thought it was from an honest trader called Rodney Attwood. We have since goggledRodney Attwood and see he is on ScamBusters. Here is the email they sent:- From: walkingdall@gmail.com Date: Sun, 30 Oct 2011 08:45:11 +0000 Subject: Re: Ford Territory - Trade Me Auction Hello,I'm satisfied with the condition, I'm ready to buy this car and will be paying you through PayPal (www.paypal.com) which is a fast, safe and reliable method of payment and i will be paying the paypal charges too. Please tell me your bottom dollar so that we can discuss further about the payment Please Advise.

I like Paypal, but I can see how this guy is making people very wary of using it.I only use it for purchases I make on ebay though, from sellers I trust, and have been using them successfully for about 6 years.

I got a txt message from the same guy, with the same MO. However as I soon as I saw it was a UK number I ignored it. Don't respond, don't bait them, just ignore them is my advice.

^^^ Like it lol! I got an email today from trademe saying someone who had asked a Q on my auction was a scammer and they have diabled them. I musta missed the Q cause the only Q i 've got the member is still active! it astounds me how many ways people try to rip other people off!
