If your user name is idicative of the cars you own you'd be right to do that.

My telstar just click over the 400,000 mark and only had the basic service cam belt water pump and a clutch. It had a rough own before me but still hasn't put a foot wrong.

If the owner has proof of all maintenance right up to the latest (if they are not 1st owner, then all other owners maintenance proof) and all required work was done then the car can last for ever.literally until the end of time if the mechanics keep spotting the problems and fixing them.

It wasn't that long ago that general consensus was that jappas died at 100,000km, buy them at around 60k and flick em off at 90k.lol!Now it seems they're energizer bunnies :)

How safe is it to buy a 10 year old Japanese car with 160,000 kms on the clock these days! If it has been regularly serviced and continues to be what are my chances of getting another trouble free 80,000 kms out of it!

The K measure how much you got left so the fewer the k the more u have left what ever you think a car will do the higher the k the more expensive to maintain
yeah 200-300 isnt many. but i go for cars with the lowest mileage i can get then i got plenty left. for the car u mentioned chances are good 160k say its 1/2 worn out 1/2 left for u if it was 80k only 1/4 worn out 3/4 left for u

380k on the lazer
2.5 times round the clock in a mk2 jag
