I am looking at buying the above in the form of the 2.5l V6 GLEi. Would like to know of any problems I should look out for before hand.

Not a bad car overall. Auto transmissions are well known for shitting themselves. Mazda engine in them isn't too bad, quite revvy and can be a wee bit thirsty. Generally quite decent to drive in manual form. From memory, the cooling system is a bit of a pain to work on, so is the timing belt, water pump etc due to having quite a cramped engine bay.

Does that run the same eng and trans of those funny looking 93/93 Mazda's that had alsorts of troube with a auto's.

Yup, Ford Probe, Mazda Eunos, smaller V6 in the Mazda Cronos.etc etc

Mazda K series engine.not a bad motor, pity about the piss poor auto they put behind it,
