If you are not a business, then a separate credit card for vehicle/fuel could be a better bet.We run a fuel card for our business and the only advantage is the one transaction a month for fuel expenses. The discount with supermarket vouchers is much better than what you get on most fuel cards unless you are using a very large amount of fuel.
They also bind you to one fuel company, which can be a pain when you're away and trying to find "your" brand in a strange town.Have a really good check that the company you go with has sites where and when you want them. We're with Mobil and they have some huge holes in their South Island coverage, or sites in really obscure places.
