did it ever occur to you guys that the seller might be trolling with a fantasy listing and getting you guys all excited about it over nothing!

franc123, Dec 6, 2:39am
Nope, sorry but muppetry and unrealistic pre recession price expectations are alive and well on TM, hence that listing doesn't really surprise anyone. But nice try.

holdenboy11, Dec 6, 2:51am
Hmm that s***tyToyota, or a new holden commodore. hmmm.

crzyhrse, Dec 6, 3:08am
Yeah, you're right. I'd take the Toyota too,

trogedon, Dec 6, 3:49am
Some people (name no names) have been known to change the price of their listing so no one will buy it rather than withdraw the listing for no good reason when the item has been sold.

pollymay, Dec 6, 4:47am
Like I said it's been relisted. Only other thing I can think of is a listing people can always contact you through, no one is going to buy it so keep relisting so other users can always contact you.

thegravelracer, Dec 6, 6:40am
i had being watching this a few weeks ago and it was 48.000 dollars then wonder why its gone up ! seems dodgy to me .A freind of mine said that it has bein listed for about 6 months now lol

thegravelracer, Dec 6, 6:47am
after reading it again. what a absolute moron who in there right mind would pay 5000 let alone 50 odd gezz ,

superfreek, Dec 6, 1:14pm
I Like
"why buy a corolla or honda civic when you can get this"
Maybe because you can ALOT of corolla or civic for 56k.

kcf, Dec 6, 1:29pm
He's obviously not trying to actually sell it.What exactly he's up to I couldn't tell you, but clearly nobody is going to pay that for it, and he knows that.

hyphen, Dec 6, 4:27pm
he's playing 'look at moi, look at moi!' but should have scantily clad, long legged bimbo draped over it for maximum effect.

kazbanz, Dec 6, 5:52pm
THISis the real answer. Car has sold so let the listing run at a stupid price till it closes

a.woodrow, Dec 6, 5:54pm
but he has relisted it at this price more than once

horsygirl, Dec 6, 6:02pm
but it owes me.

xs1100, Dec 7, 1:58am
this guy is proof that drugs are no good for you.even the ones that let you live outside amongst the normal people.rather than your padded cell

neville48, Dec 7, 3:14am
One good thing about having a permanent car listed is the fact you can have all your contact phone numbers on it so people can be referred to it by you at question time etc.

mellisa2000, Dec 7, 3:22am
May be Pollymay's old car, but my 2c is that the first and second pics are different cars, and I'd(almost) bet pic #1, is not taken in NZ, looks too "Brochure" -ish. The reg plate blotted out is in a different place.

cfs, Dec 8, 1:33am
The pics are most certainly of 2 different cars. Park/indicators are different, aerial in different places etc etc.

timmo1, Dec 8, 12:24pm
The third pic is also of 'mr troll' so its clearly not serious.

patiki1, Dec 8, 12:36pm
He should advertise it in a gay mag, what bloke would drive that!

pthorn, Dec 8, 1:15pm
There was a discussion about this car a while back on a couple of Toyota and MR2 forums. This was what the owner had to say about it:

Quote:
As AW11s are becoming rarer, the listing sitting up there is an indication of how much they SHOULD/COULD be going for as their existence is also under-appreciated. I'm not using it for my personal gain in any way as there is no car in my hand and I could not possibly sell for that price and make a profit on it.

So, pretty much thinks in general AW11 MR2's are undervalued, so leaving it up to try drive the price up of most MR2's of that generation.Seems to be working as well, most of the other AW11's have jumped a few thousand in price over the past few months.

esprit, Dec 8, 2:07pm
Yes. an old '80s MR2 in tidy, but not immaculate condition is worth more than an as-new, near showroom condition Lotus Elise.

What a dreamer

gemmigem, Dec 8, 2:53pm
This is a clear example of excessive use of illegal drugs may effect the ability to think like a normal human .

peek_a_boo1, May 17, 7:00pm
could buy at least 5-10 cars for that (working out cars roughtly 5k-10k each
