Its so you can shirt the transmission out of park if the brake interlock stops working for some reason.

That's right - the place to insert the key on a Consul is to turn the ignition on. But #2 explained it. Some cars have a button that pushes or slides.
Since the public registrations are closed, you must have an invite from a current member to be able to register and post in this thread.
