Kiwibiker.co.nz who give you the choice of underwriters. I use Dave Golightly in Chch (underwriten by Vero) and have found him very good when Mrs Berg had her off. A lot depends on what you want to do as some including Vero will not allow track days

+1 for kiwibike

I am with Classic Cover.Full cover on my SV1000 for only $314 per year.I crashed it in July (a hit and run) and the bike was a write-off.They organised the bike to be picked up for assessment. The money for my bike was in my bank accound within 6 days along with full payout for my helmet, jacket and gloves.Purchased another bike exactly the same and they gave me full cover for an increase in premiums of 5%. (due to the fact they were unable to claim my payout from the 3rd party)The only catch is you have to be over 30 with a good claims record for them to insure you.Would highly recommend them

swann is the cheapest for me, try them.

I use State because I get discounts with my Home Contents and car already in place.

star insurance seem to come up fairly often -Nick baker insurances are specialist bike insurers

kiwibike and golightly. both are highly recommended in the biker community.

I used to own an engineering firm, and dealt with vero when I repaired a mates bike which was damn near written off. Vero were fantastic.

Vero has declined my sons insurance claim for a bike crash. Be aware any minute amounts of alcohol will null and void their policy

Protecta Insurance was by far the best deal for me. Was very reasonable on a Triumph Thruxton (hundreds less than State) but I have changed to an adventure bike and premiums are considerably higher. Strangely Harleys are very cheap to insure with Protecta. Go on their website for an instant quote.
