In my hz holden the light stays on same as the boot light.Could it be a bad earth somewhere!

Could be the headlight switch. Twist the light switch knob to see if it turn it off.

Check the switches located in the door and boot sill area. One is probably sticking or otherwise faulty. Unless its staying on all the time (no matter what position switch is in)!

Could be a bad alarm install or removal as well.
In a friends hatch when they did the alarm install they connected the boot light and the car light together into the alarm.

The door switches seem ok and it does not make any difference with the headlight switch they just stay on all the time.Its been sweet till the other night i noticed them on.

My car did this too.It was caused by a door switch wire which had broken away and was touching the body inside a cavity, thus earthing it and bringing the lights on.

I 2nd that, that caused mine with the same prob. I wire that ran under the back seat to the boot switch was pinched under the seat and earthing out.
