okay so what oil synthectic or mineral!.

jasongroves, Dec 26, 10:27pm
Decent quality 10w-40 or 15w40.
Mineral is fine.but you can use synthetic if you like.
Should hold around 5L of oil.
Valvoline Engine Armour or Castrol Magnatec spring to mind.

15w40 is what we put in them at work. 5-5.5L of oil.

If you own a performance vehicle why use crap oil !!i use MOBIL 1

unbeatabull, Dec 27, 2:08am
Mobil Oil isn't exactly the best anyway. Any reputable brand will be fine, but I would keep grade to 15w40. It's a 19 year old car now.

Hey guys, want to use the best!.more concerned as to mineral or synthectic type. Being ol school I reckon mineral, and after all 5ltr 8 is not rocket technology.

I would go for the Valvoline Engine Armour 10w-40.
http://www.valvoline.com.au/enginearmour/ Or http://www.valvoline.com.au/pdf/DuraBlend%20Synthetic%20Blend%20Motor%20Oils.pdf
Im also inclined towards the Fuchs range from BNT.
TITAN SUPER GTO 10W40

The majority of mineral engine oils to day will have additives, making them a semi-synthetic or 'blended' oil.
Straight mineral oils are generally of a higher viscosity too (thicker).
