how much does Airbag suspension cost i got quoted $5000 for the kit and to install it and also cert tags. seemed a bit steep

Nah its a pretty big task, there is a loy more involved than just swapping the springs for bags

nz2293, Feb 15, 8:03am
depends on what its in utes need a c notch cut in chassis etc but if its a standard car setup with bags compressors all piping solenoids etc 5k with cert prob be bang on as above its a big job

moosie_21, Feb 15, 8:20am
Why oh why! Please don't tell me they're going on a Merc or ute.

sgibson4, Feb 15, 8:35am
bags are going on V6 Legend 96

sven007, Feb 15, 8:46am
OMG - The worst car to place bags on, may be cool but Hondas look shit with bags, do it on a Impala or euro! money down the drain if on a japanese car!

sgibson4, Feb 15, 8:47am
i agree but the legend does not look like a jap car it looks more like a bmw

moosie_21, Feb 15, 8:52am
Who exactly are you trying to impress! Snoop Dogg doesn't live in NZ, and the '90s are long past son.

moosie_21, Feb 15, 8:55am
If you REALLY want to be gangster, this is the new trend in America:

Then you can be "original", because noone over here is dumb enough to do it.

'looks good' is very subjective.
I still fail to see the point in air bag suspension.
More w@nk factor / 'hey look at me' instead of any practical need.

brummoi, Feb 15, 9:14am
do airbags add anything performance wise to a car or are they fully wank!

andrea_w, Feb 15, 9:20am
The latter option!

jason18, Feb 15, 9:51am
Iplanning on doing it in my toyota cavilar. I say go for it

johnf_456, Feb 15, 8:15pm
+1 The things people spend money on, that could be put into a better car

I'm actually thinking of bagging the rear of my VR Commodore ute for couple reasons.

1; Get the back down so it's level with the front. (unloaded)
2; When i put loads in the back i can adjust the level so as it won't bugger my tires / rims.

jason18, Feb 15, 9:15pm
I have 2 air shocks in the back of the valiant great for raising it up or lowering it down. Not that I raise it up at all
