A few years ago I had a Civic and was going into my parents driveway when the neighbour started backing down. I was tooting the horn and waving my hands trying to make him stop and couldn't back out because there was heaps of traffic. He was backing and looking straight ahead (!!). Anyway, decent frontal to the Honda and his insurance paid for repairs. Got a loan mid-80s Mazda 323 with an auto box that was knackered. They told me I better top it up with gas as it chews it a bit. This was because it only had first gear which made me wild. It ended up spluttering to a halt whilst trying to get it back them which almost caused a pile up. I left it on the side of the road and they had to tow it. when I got my Civic back they had painted the bumper black when the car was dark grey. Didn't care as it was a hack but still pretty bad.
Best loan car though would be Zeph's Sentra!
