The 86 Ute is an XG - maybe the 05 stands for the month of assembly.
Tried running all the data through a decode!

Go here and try your luck

Sorry - that might not do the right year

The first 2 letters of the VIN should relate to Country & assembly plant.
The next 2 numbers = Model.
Next 2 letters = Year & month of assembly.

So yours could be something like this, in order to cover G
JG40 (or 41) GG (then the serial No.)

J = Australia
G = assembly plant
40 = Ute
G = 1986
G = December

Don't know what the 05 is all about.
If it was a Mustang, it would mean it was a Mach1

None of that information would have made it onto the vehicles description as described on the rego label though, it was probably just a typo on the part of whoever entered it into the system when it was first registered.They may have meant to enter Falcon GL and not Falcon G05.

its 1986 xf ford falcon so i i guess it maybe a typo
