Anyone got a better source for fuel use on 2nd hand cars than the NZ fuelsaver/rightcar combo! They state the economy on a 4 and 5 speed auto 2.3l mazda6 are the same.makes me doubt it. Or maybe the impact of that extra gear isn't as much as I thought!

Maybe join an online forum and speak to some actual owners! Ive found the rightcar and manufacturers specs to be fairly optimistic compared to real world figures.

Well fuelsaver/rightcar cite the manufacturers as the source.so in the case I mention above I'm wondering if perhaps they are not correctly identifying models they want the info for. i.e. just because their site mentions the number of gears, does that mean the info they sourced from mazda was for the 4 and 5 speed models!
Thaaaaaat's more like it. Thanks for those. The first one gives the 4 speed 9.6 and the 5 speed 8.9 whereas fuelsaver gives both 8.9. Backs up what I thought that their info isn't fine enough.
