Mine has been playing up for a while on my EL Falcon, would this be a WOF issue as I have to start the car in Neutral.Does anyone have a ball park figure to get this fixed if need be.

Not a wof issue.

Not sure about EL Falcon but most inhibitor switches are very simple switch right next to shifter. (might be dirty contacts; if you don't want to have a look, it should be minimum charge from Auto Sparkie; 1/4hr!)
Turns out it was a WOF issue because the reverse lights were on in park, no worries quick stroll to wreckers to get another, whipped the old one off with the aid of a crow bar, a little tidy up and on with the new one.Good as gold. Cheers for the pics richard made it a bit easier knowing what to look for.

Lol you never said the rev lights were on in the first post. With a discripsion like that I would have just said adjust the switch as it's out of sync.

They're about $125 new from Ford. I got one for a mate last year.

Stuff that, $40 from wrecker, I think mine failed because it had a big crack in it and was full of crap.

Good value if your time is worth nothing.
