mines stretched out and could do with replacing, anyone know if or where i'd find one new, prefer to try that before looking at a second hand one.

I could be wrong here, but I think you need to take the sump off to remove the transmission end. Do you know where it is stretched! If it is at the carbie end, you maybe able to put some sort of bandaid on it. ( I don't really mean a bandaid!) May pay to check the reason why it has stretched. Maybe the cable has been too tight. It needs to pull all the way out with full throttle, but not to the extent that the cable is placed under load.
