1200cc can some one tell me.when i remove the radiator cap, the water level is correct, with the radiator cap replaced and motor warms up the overflow water resevoir cap when removed nearly blows it out of your hand(not the radiator cap) could the thermostat be faulty,or blown head gasket.there is no water in oil.oil is clean.

Unfortunately and sadly even an old 1976 corolla had an ALUMINIUM cyl head on a STEEL engine block.
And water is not antifreeze/corrision inhibitor between disimilar metals
So um yep combustion pressure in cooling sytem and no antifreeze=
Blown head gasket-corroded cyl head.
Repariable though.

Pressure cap on radiator isn't sealing properly!

it has always had antifreeze added to water.

Sounds like my 77 corolla it had blown head gasket. Easy as to do tho.

Its a 3k motor I guess. I would take head off get it skimmed and crack tested fit new gasket and should be sweet

But do take to mechanic just to get pressure test done to make sure it is head gasket but sounds pretty similar
