Has any one had a problem the accelerator sticking in a Corolla. I have a 2008 Hatch, done 63,000ks. I have several instances of the accelerator sticking - it is an intermittant thing. The car has just been serviced today and the mechanic assured me they have done a thorough check and nothing is wrong with the accelerator. It was very scary when it did stick. It isn't caused by mats.

I had a rental corolla manual 08/09. It seemed to rev after you lifted your foot from the go peddle and used the clutch. Found it a bit of a drag.

Check with Toyota NZ if your car was a part of the recall. There was some problems with accelerators sticking in some Toyota's. It was all over the news internationally for quite a while. Im very suprised you missed it.
