321mat, Jun 10, 10:43am
Anything built by HYUNDAI.

Just utter rubbish.
The true definition of modern day Jap Junk.

gamerman_64, Jun 10, 10:44am
You see far more CRX's hitting 250,000km than you do any European cars. And don't forget, their little engines rev like mad.160hp from a 1,6L engine, while lasting for over 200,000km!Thats good

I'd have to go with Early 80s Fiats as being the worst cars, in my experiences. They rust so much, everything not welded on falls off, BUT, the engines are almost indestructible. Can't say the same for the gearbox, clutch, suspension, etc haha.

321mat, Jun 10, 10:45am
They were designed by spies from the KGB, intent on bringing down the British Motor Industry.

As if they weren't doing a good enough job of it themselves.

saxman99, Jun 10, 10:47am
Errr.Hyundai is Korean.

gamerman_64, Jun 10, 10:51am
Ahahahaha.Pre 2004 they weren't that great, but they were still ok.

And they aren't Japanese, you moron.

johnf_456, Jun 10, 11:14am

I was about to remonstrate with all those who have taken 321mat to task -- but I have just remembered, a mat is there, to wipe one's feet on.

(just kidding, 321mat)

neville48, Jun 10, 5:47pm
definatly would have to be the Trabant, they were made with such toxicly produced components that they are even a disaster to scrap them safely with all the oddball dangerous potentially toxic plastic components in them

geoff_m, Jun 10, 7:59pm
Mazda Cronos (626) with the R2 "pressure wave supercharged" diesel.
Had one as a work car - called it "smokey"
The motors were a converted petrol engine, with a spaghetti of belts to run the blower. The gearbox as as good as the motor.
It was a handgrenade with the pin pulled, and we were glad to see the back of it - it cost a fortune to keep on the road. With the crap gearbox, It took 2 seconds to get going when you put your foot down, and it had a tendency to lurch into the intersection when you wanted to go - then almost stop in the middle of the road. Very confidence inspiring in the traffic with a truck bearing down on you.

These types of threads are short sighted crap. Practically any car is either good or bad, depending on the age or condition of car. Retrospective opinions from MBers often are meaningless as a lot of cars mentioned are only regarded as crap from heresay stories.(my humble opinion). How many of you have driven or even seen a Trabant in person, or driven or ridden in a 120 Y! Cars were made for the times and technology of the day, thus creating a platform for the modern car. Geez I have written a load ofrubbish !
