This is the borders bike (wouldn't be seen DEAD on a scooter myself)
Was starting & running ok but after a 5minute run would loose all power & only just idle, nada else. Leave for the night & it would do the same. ok . Changed the plug/ dropped in a bit of carb/injector cleaner in to the petrol tank/ started it up. Was a bit rough starting/ idle was crap/ took 3 or 4 minutes of twisting the throttle trying to get the revs up till it cleared & was running ok. owner took it for a run 5 minutes down the road & reported back that it's running ok bu stillt a little gutless (for a scooter) .
Not tried it this morning but whats the chances it was a combo of crud in carby & weak plug & will probably improve from now on or am I going to have to strip the exhaust system & decoke it.

Im guessing its a 2 stroke, just do as kaz said above and it should be fine, sounds like after 5 minutes or so once its warmed up the auto choke turns off and it starves for fuel witch would mean that the jets are blocked in the carb or the fuel flow out of the tank is to slow.

So far so good. Air cleaner is fine New plug approx 50ml's of carby/injector cleaner plus $3 worth of 95 in the tank.
Now back to doing it's normal return run from 1 side of Hamilton to the other side 4 times a week. No more issues reported.
BUT . yep if it happens again in the next few months, then "IT"S STRIPPING TIME"
