Hmm,. It was either the Austin Maxi or the 1954 Ford Prefect 100E. naa. the Maxi was the worst.

My parents never owned a car.In fact I was the first in the family to learn to drive and buy a car.

grangies, Jun 2, 10:07am
Morris 1300, was both cool and embarrassing at the same time.

saxman99, Jun 2, 10:14am
A brand new civic in 1981. Total POS. Not a patch on the old rusty Morris 1100 it replaced.

The Mk2 Zephyr that we kids had to get out of and walk up hills, as that was the only way the old girl would manage it.

thecudadude, Jun 2, 11:15am
Austin 1800 , i even have sick memories of going for a family test drive in the then new Austin Princess . Thank god they never bought one ! LMFAO

pauloc, Jun 2, 11:17am
1982 Holden Gemini, a true piece of crap. Leaked fuel fumes into the cabin and was a dog

andrewph, Jun 2, 11:22am
Hillman super minx need I say more. Cars have come along way.

louweez1, Jun 2, 11:36am
now, worst you have owned!

me a 79 puscort with the vinyl roof, shook like shit when you turned the corner with brakes on! gearbox was like a rubber band and would sometimes shoot you forward randomly! lol

gingercrush, Jun 2, 12:00pm
LOL Austin Princess for sure. Other than that one I liked my parents cars. Two Holden V8s and a Ford Fairmont. Loved those.

bmwnz, Jun 2, 12:06pm
The only car I've had that was ever troublesome was a Mazda 808. It literally rusted away before my eyes. None of my other cars have caused me any grief.

stevo2, Jun 2, 6:04pm
Ford 10 Prefect, Austin A40 Somerset. I remember the Morrie Minor as a good car.
In 72 they tossed up between a NEW Hillman Hunter or a Morrris Marina. They went for the Hunter
cheers Stevo

Trekka

Mind you, there was method in the old mans madness.
The Air Force used to run Trekkas so parts / maintenance was free.

sandypheet, Jun 2, 6:50pm
Mk1 Zepher,I remember it but the east coast roads around Ruatoria shook it to bits.

My parents owned about 5 vans, a valiant, a civic and a suzuki two stroke thing.

Us children were carted around in the suzuki. Gosh.
