went to fill up petrol this morning and found the nozzle full of water, maybe from the rain! lucky I checked

A cup of methylated spirits in your tank of gas (petrol) will dissolve any water in your fuel.

yes the liquid was clear, no smell, suspect windy rain contaminated the pumps or do they get a hose down now then to clean them

any1 been in a bp and seen that "wrong fuel in your car" brochure.Its like they used a dark haired woman with glasses so they wouldnt be stereotyping blondes as being stupid or something.But the look on her face is priceless, she looks like a complete airhead.
