How to install a light beeper.

I want to install a light beeper in our 85 corolla as the Mrs keeps leaving the lights on- how could I do this! I figure If i get a beeper from a wrecked car I just need to figure out how to wire it in.
Has anyone done this!

Go to Jaycar and get a polarity sensitive buzzer.

Wire a positive to the headlight, and the negative to ignition switch

Have wired a cheap one up from here, they aren't hard and the cheap one hasn't failed me yet.

just thinking about this polarity sensitive buzzer- how does it work! Obviously i want a beep or buzz when the lights are on but key is off. But then it needs to go off either when the doors are shut, or the key is removed. i am guessing the doors shut option would be easier. It seems to me that it would need more than 2 wires. Because the one that senses if the ignition is off will not bea closed circuit when the buzz is needed. requiring a second earth.
If that makes sense

There is an actual Jaycar headlight reminder kit, purpose made for the job.

What I suggested would only work if key off, and headlights on.
