which one is the best buy! anyone here familiar with them! is the 1700 much more economical and the 2000 much more powerful!

Driven both. As kaz said light load no difference. Given a bit of a boot the 2lt was def better. For resale I would think a 2lt would appeal to more people and cant be much fuel economy wise.

the streams arent that fast even in 2l .our mondeo was just as fast and felt so much more relaxed and the stream was screaming and changing gears all the time.also the streams front seats are AWEFUL AWEFUL AWEFUL.IVE SAT ON CONCRETE PARK BENCHES THAT WERE MORE COMFORTABLE.
