Well dont tell anyone. If the fault has not been picked up before, why worry! If there is nothing on it to identify it as the car it once was, its not traceable anyway.

What would happen if you have the misfortune to be involved in an accident that involves injury or worse ! I am aware of a accident where the innocent party was injured and their damaged vehicle was still minutely inspected.

I bought a car once, had different plates on it, car was stolen, I rung the police and they came over and had a look at it, they said it was legally mine and the original owner had no right to take it back. so I kept it
