Mate Fiats are hard work but there is always a buyer for any car with a WOF. Haha.cars are a delight to sell.I love it. The greatest thing about Trade Me is that I don't have to talk to them. Nothing better, just test drive and go, cash in hand, no waffling on about trades and finance, and no wierdos kicking tyres. Great stuff.

Beat a 01 GTB manual with heaps of hop up gear for $1500 ;) Having to sell her 306 atm - heaps of people keen on that too, uncomparible to any other hatch of the era

Mate Ive had txts & bizzare trades all week, the very reason I could never do it for any gain - you guys do it hard out there, buyers are liars - I think Kaz told me that ha, hes damn right - must be the job with the least self satisfaction out there!

I guess it comes down to how you interpret zephs first post.
I way I interpreted zephs first post was he was dealing with idiotic time wasters. But I can understand how you would interpret it differently. I too have had a buyer come up with absolute nonsense issues but then have still offered and paid a good price. It was worth waiting to see what they offered.
So yeah, I can see your and John's point, but again, I think it comes down to your interpretation of zephs first post which is obviously different from my interperatation.
Just rambling coz I'm bored. lol

Yeah John never said it was a piece of crap. He said that it sounds like a piece of crap obviously based on the way it was discribed in the original post. There is a difference. It sounded like a piece of crap to me too.

I wish I had seen those 'potential buyers' when I dropped the Landcruiser off.
That Fiat is actually pretty cool and would be great value for money. Looks pretty tidy in the flesh too.
The customer bragging about his BA was a pretty hilarious side note. I never mention my university credentials to anyone I first meet, especially not in those circumstances. What a sad old git.

I offer you an apology john. After reading kabanz's post, I do now understand now how you came by your comment at 3. Simply a different interpretation from mine.

All good mate we all make mistakes, but admitting them is another a whole new story and the attitude.

Has anyone actually stood back and thought about what James (Zephyrheaven) has been through, along with the rest of the Christchurch people, over the past couple of months! Your entire life turned upside down, having to be the rock around your family, relocating your business, the frailed nerves, the lack of sleep, the overwhelming feelings of helplessness, etc. Don't judge how a person reacts in certain situations, unless you have been through what they have gone through. And for the record, I have been there done that many years ago, so I do have an understanding. James, you don't have to bend over for anyone.

Thanks Robbo - its been a thankless chore for the most part, shifting, housing umpteen people, helping people & being helped out
Still amuses me when customers come down to the new shop & say "gee it was lucky you found a place all set up already with hoists etc!" Haa ha ha, if only - its been a slog but Im looking forward to a break at easter & maybe an OE in winter
Cheers

You heading to the NI zeph! And there's dumb-asses out there too - as well as on here!
I just listed my Terrano, and to keep all the goodie-two-shoes on here off my back, the curtains have been drawn.

! about their list of wrongs being a negotiating tool. yes. but i can also side with Zephyr for being rather blunt with them. I have seen my old bad temped boss kick a customer's seat around the carpark. A bit embarassing for us but the customer was a prick.I myself came so close to ripping up a customers cheque, reaching into her open window and popping the boot and ripping out the boot mat i had just made and fitted. the only thing that stopped me was it was not my company and i let it slide. i told my boss after and he said it wouldn't have bothered him. The customer isnt always right. And some need to be told so with expletives so it sinks into their thick skulls.
