Depends what you want it for, grouse off road, mechanically bullet proof generally speaking, electircs can give a bit of shit with age. I've had two XJ Cherokees and am now in the process of buying a Grand Cherokee for off road use only as they are one of the better out of the box 4wds and good value for money. Parts are pretty expensive if buying locally, it will be cheaper buying thru ebay.com, or there are a few being wrecked these days. If your not gonna take it off road and use it around town get a Falcon or commodore wagon.

Good advice.They're not what you would buy as a daily driver or commuter but as a load tower and bush basher, hard to go past for what you pay for them.Personally I find them nicer to drive than a lot of the Jap SUV's and unlike those they have a character all of their own.Sorting out a good parts source in the US is definitely the way to go.
