Honestly! I personally think a 4cyl Altezza with an aftermarket / larger exhaust, man they sound rather tinny! Most 4 cylinder cars sound unpleasant with loud exhausts, but the Altezza really stands out in my mind.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ a lot of modern cars sound like that and not just 4's, as much as i hate to say it, 6 and 8's to.

yeah called Mazda RX (insert number here) the best sounds mostly come from straight 6s or v12s some 4s are ok but not tinny but drony i find subys sound like an overcharged old VW

Not the worst but I have to wonder why so many of the ford XR8's have such a horrible exhaust note! Many of them sound like a 6 without a muffler. Not hating, just they sound awful in comparison to the Holden V8's.

I didnt say they were the worst (Ford XR8's) - do you have comprehension problems! I said many have a horrible exhaust note and its a matter of opinion. You cant just say someones personal opinion is wrong, that makes no sense at all. Just like a broad sweeping assertion that everyone who owns Holdens or bags rotaries is clueless. Owned all of them and I can understand why people bag the sound of rotaries. I couldnt live with that sound every day of the week. but its not the worst.

I dont agree - the LS engines have a very smooth and almost sterile sound. The LB9 Holden V8 had a great throaty sound but were a bit low on power.
