Thanks but i dont think so (if it didnt do it with old head then it wouldnt be logical for it to do so now with brand new head with it's clean valves, combustion chambers etc)

P.s all internal areas of head/combustion chambers, etc were measured and were the same as the head that came off (while looked to be the original)

The injector pump timing was set correctly as per the cambelt mark/pointer.

There were also 2 different belts for the early engines - same length and tooth count, but different pitch. Wrap the belt completely around the cam sprocket and make sure theymatch.

Square tooth and round tooth if my memory is correct.

Where did the valves come from!If this is an after market head make sure the valves rockers etc. are all correct and not mixed or offset and or sticking.
