Hi there. Have a 96 corona premio, the rear de-mister has not worked since I bought it. I thought it was the switch as it doesnt "clip" in when pressed and the light doesnt turn on even when kept in. But I went to pick a part and took the switch out of an identical car and it doesnt clip in either. Any ideas! Is this a common problem with the switch! All fuses are fine.

not a huge amount of help, but a lot of toyotas use a button like this and you press it for a moment and then the demister will run for a few minutes then turn off. so probably not the switch.

Checked for continuity between the terminals on the demister itself!

No light then not working. check the fuse

also no light = no continuity in circuit, check with ohms meter between the ends of the window foils, ( disconnect one end)
