Liteace hard to start when hot.

YM30 2Y-U 91 Liteace starts fine when cold, but just keeps turning and turning over and takes a view (quite a few, more than other liteaces I'd used) pumps on the gas. when engine is hot.

What to check!

Oh, just recently done oil, air oil and fuel filters, spark plugs (will check gaps, what's the right gap!)
Radiator flushed and thermostat replaced (Wouldn't suspect this tho)

When hot, keep your foot flat to the floor on the accelerator pedal and don't move it until it starts.

Have been pumping it, or holding but it would be great if it didn't take 10-15 seconds to start. lol

Some of the y series engines required the projected nose plugs.
If these are not fitted I seem to remember hard starting was one of the issues.

Follow mugens instructions. Do NOT pump the pedal.

Mugens instructions. Did you read my post you quoted! I don't want to have it turning for 15 seconds before it fires. Really looking for a proper fix, not a band-aid.

There's no difference in starting performance when pumping or holding, both seem to work the same, am I missing something.!

Has been off the road the last 9months, probably should of mentioned this, but the last 3 months, it's had one 300km trip, then ran every week.

I've only had it 3 months, but I have only noticed the problem in the last week where I have been using it lately.

no2 10 degrees.
no3 they do actually have a complex unit on the carbie to vent the float bowl.
BACK to post *1 right gap is pregapped NGK BP5EY.
NOT ES. and is 28 thou.
YM30 2Y-U 91which is a 2YU and has a catalyic convertor.!
(IF still fitted).and i COULD be wrong here but tis only a 91 2y some of them had contact points in the disssy.check da points.K
Also most of em were elecyy tricickity chokers.

strange you don't state any miss or **hesitation**-I.E dead accy pump.
as eithier it's not firing or overchoking or not venting and fuel soaking HOT.
q! IS IT WORSE IF SAT FOR 10 RATHER THAN AN HOUR HOT!
