.

howz_that, May 27, 5:43pm
Its pretty tidy for a $1500 car

74nova, May 27, 5:56pm
Even the numbers line up on the odometer.not.

timmo1, May 27, 6:08pm
Got a link for that!

ninja_man, May 27, 6:12pm
lol a real head turner at the four and rotary show. i wonder why people were looking

fordcrzy, May 27, 6:38pm
every one was thinking what the **** is that piece of #### doing parked there.
talk about "manufacturing" history/prestige

whqqsh, May 27, 7:43pm
try this, turns out it isnt exactly breaking news, still interesting though

franc123, May 27, 7:51pm
Good grief what a twit, if it was a SSS U12 or one of those Attessa's or whatever they were called it MIGHT attract some interest. Its only a base model of a very mediocre model of car.

a.woodrow, May 27, 8:01pm
Yep what I was going to say ^^ exactly the same situation as the corolla, a poverty spec car that is only a poor imitation of the model that anyone would actually want

trdbzr, May 27, 8:02pm
Even that not-so-classic Corolla was more of a classic than a 88 Bluebird.

And the only looks would have been people trying to figure out what the hell was so special about this piece of s**t. Seriously what were the organizers thinking letting it in there.

Unless the owner was like Spike and just had a major b**ch fit at them until they let his 'super duper classic super duper rare collectors item rarer than aliens' car into the show.

chevcamaro, May 27, 8:06pm
now thats a find, wicked, that was awesome imagine that, wow look i just found a brand new norton, oh hang on thiers 12 of them,

alltorque350, May 28, 5:00am
Thats the twin spark motor.Spark plugs on both sides of the head. Fancy.

friendly_prawn, May 28, 5:25am
cool!
All got reasonably good prices too. The cheapest went for just under $21,000, while the most expensive sold for just under $23,000.

nufix72, May 28, 7:50am
That belgian guy was a seriously wealthy hoarder, why the hell would anyone buy eleven of them nice bikes, gimme one I say to whoever the benefactor is. Bugger, can't speak Belgium.

friendly_prawn, May 28, 7:53am
he was a bike shop owner

From what we??

sw20, May 28, 9:02am
"A real head turner at the 2012 4 'N Rotary Show at Ellerslie "

Quite right. I'd look at it because I'd wonder what relevance it had. They were never cool, nor did every other kid have one like the MK2 Escort he touted. Worth maybe $3k because its tidy.

"A real head turner at the 2012 4 'N Rotary Show at Ellerslie"

Sounds like a great car show

whqqsh, May 28, 1:28pm
probably got the worng address & mistook a lot of cars parked together in Ellerslie & didnt realised it was actually a supermarket car park, ppl would have looked then by putting a rope barrier around a very common car

pollymay, May 28, 1:41pm
The 4 'N Rotary Show is the worst show on the planet, I'd burn my car before admitting my it was near that place. A celebration of all things slammed on the bumpstops that can hardly move.

foxdonut, May 28, 1:52pm
+1

Its a bunch of used crap covered in the finest rice that borrowed money and poorly thought out financial decisions can buy.

foxdonut, May 28, 1:56pm
Or its not a four or a rotary, begging the question "why bother calling it that!"

richardmayes, May 28, 3:25pm
It's an as-new example of an old car that you can be sure no-one else will have bothered preserving.

SO yes, I can imagine it getting a bit of attention at a Jap car show.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to spend significant money on it though.

sw20, May 28, 3:51pm
What a ray of sunshine you are.

kazbanz, May 28, 4:15pm
I don't remember any 1600cc bluebirds selling so I learned summat today

fryan1962, May 28, 4:43pm
another one for the beach hop sweet
