Diesel motor running on waste sump oil

the-lada-dude, Jul 12, 7:31pm
a while ago, someone left a message on a thread, that they were using waste sump oil to power their diesel ute / car!
i suppose if you filter the oil & pre heat itdon't see why not ( perhaps avoid this technique in common rail eng )any body tried it !

A centrifuge is your friend, best way of filtering the oil.

No reason why you couldn't run a diesel engine on waste engine oil but I can only imagine the smoke it would produce: http://www.youtube.com/watch!v=5zx3qKX_Pno

he was using a centrifuge filter as said above, i rem it because at the time i googled up how to make one

WVO is far harder to get clean enough then WMO
WVO has a lot more finer partials & water content to clean out then WMO
WMO can be heated & centrifuged clean enough to use safetly in older gen diesels
WVO needs centrifuge + additives to clean out the water content

you add a little kero to it, might be 5% or 10%

who's the best bet for oil !
do they sell it/ give it!

Thats why people who have no idea of what they are doing shouldn't be playing with diesels, once it took off they should of strangled it.Running behind the caravan now has cost him a fortune.
