I dont do much car maintenance (which is going to be very evident from this posting) but i would like to change the spark plugs on my 1997 Camry. Is there a trick to removing the rubber spark plug covers, I cannot just pull them off so Im guessing they have to be prized off. Would appreciate anyones help. Thanks

If you're doing spark plugs to "service" your car, you might want to do the oil, oil filter and air filter too. I'm assuming they need doing too because you admit to not doing much maintenance (tsk tsk) Also, Kaz is right. normally the plug cap just pulls out.

Were you twisting them as well as pulling! Just yanking them may ruin them, twisting is usually mentioned in owners/workshop manuals.
