500-600 hp might not be enough to spin those tyres in anger. and a bit far gone from a street car.
Frank Bogart has another tubbed XF in his shed that may be for sale at the end of the season, he is going to let his son drive it, and it has a cage, i would wait but i'm impatient and i think i would rather start from scratch.

Cuda, i hope no-one has altered the chassis on the ex Keys mercedes, i use to love the way that thing launched, made great photos anyway.And the Pac n Save cortina, on its rear bumper off the start line.
we got 10.90 with my old 460 in my f100 drag truck stock motor ,but we chucked 200 hp nos at it ,it loved it ,but frighteningwith the motor pulling 6000 revs

only 6000 rpm, my converter don't lock up til 5600.
yeah quickstitch that merc had a chassis upgrade when Holland ran that masters of horsepower tour & Robinson put his funny car engine in it, chassis was still weak but it did improve a lot,
