I am amazed at how many people bring cars in and have done no homework on getting them legal in NZ.
Anyone importing a car really needs to do their homework first, cheers.

It's a '70 Coronet, so no problems there.

Just been the "piggy in the middle" posi getting a genuine 71 Super Bee in for a mate. That was with Kiwi, into Tauranga.
Would put a photo up, but seeing as it's not mine, I'd rather not.

Jeez - you guys worry me buying a Yanke rebuild!
So long as someone trusting has had a look tho.
Looks bloody good.

To be honest.Unless you have you eye on something special i wouldnt bother importing anything,There is SOOO much here in NZ.take your pick.Especially if your a cash buyer. Most of the yank stuff on Tard-me is grossly over priced and has been on here for ever BUT cash talks and people are getting desperate

I think if you are after something specific and a little unusual and intend to keep it for yourself, then importing one makes sense.
However, unlike 20 years ago, there are very few older yank tanks that have any margin in them to import and sell for a profit now. Just look at how many mustangs are on Trademe.
