it's just a Marcos 1800GT isn't it! Or perhaps the 3 litre which had [I think] the volvo in line six. I remember there was one is Gisborne in the 70s. Where's trademe member Socram these days! He has one or more.

yes, not crazy, just not that common. Morgans also used some wood, as did many older cars. Wood is an excellent material so long as you can deal with the decomposition.

Well at least wood never rusts.
The cars still butt-ugly no matter how you look at it.
They never had a wooden chassis, but some of the body panels were reinforced by a wooden frame on some models.

I've been a passenger in that car around Hampden Downs. It goes alright.
